The SafeCut NM™ coronary dilatation catheter is a versatile DUAL wire balloon dilatation catheter designed for single patient use in routine and complex angioplasty that may include multiple vessels and lesions. The SafeCut NM™ is a semi-compliant balloon that utilizes a two-wire dilatation mechanism (a 0.011" built-in integral wire external to the balloon, and a standard 0.014" guidewire delivering the balloon catheter). During a gradually controlled balloon dilatation, controlled force is applied to facilitate plaque fractures at low and gradually-increasing inflation pressures. The SafeCut NM™ offers a wide range of balloon sizes (refer to chart below) to accommodate various vascular anatomies. It has also a potentially broad application including small vessel disease, ostial lesions, bifurcation lesions, as well as in-stent restenosis.
